About
Josh founded Hester Analytics to assist individuals and companies with their Excel workbooks, models, and visualizations in the sustainability sector and beyond. His interest in sustainability started while at MIT, where he received his Bachelors, MEng, and PhD degrees from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering.
At MIT, Josh developed a streamlined, probabilistic lifecycle assessment (LCA) methodology to identify building designs that balance environmental impacts with cost. As a Senior Sustainability Consultant at Quantis, Josh conducted LCAs and worked with companies to measure and reduce corporate and product environmental footprints. He also has been teaching Excel skills to colleagues for over a decade, providing a second pair of eyes to improve spreadsheets or code.
